Venturi Scrubbers

An industrial scrubber is a device used to remove pollutants and other harmful particles from industrial exhaust gases before they are released into the environment. The scrubber works by forcing the exhaust gas through a liquid, usually water, which captures the pollutants and removes them from the gas stream. The resulting clean air is then released into the atmosphere. Industrial scrubbers are commonly used in factories, power plants, and other industrial facilities to reduce air pollution and improve air quality.

Ejector scrubbers use a high-pressure liquid stream sprayed through one nozzle to scrub particulates and gases from the exhaust air stream. The high-pressure liquid stream creates suction on the exhaust air stream, allowing for the transport of exhaust air through the scrubber without the aid of a fan. Turndown capability for ejector scrubbers is linked to the pressure and flowrate of the scrubbing liquid. Ejector scrubbers can use a variety of scrubbing liquids and require relatively low maintenance due to the simple design. We recommend these for scrubbing vapors from an exhaust air stream. 

Venturi scrubbers use a liquid stream sprayed through several nozzles to scrub particulates and gases from the exhaust air stream. The exhaust air stream is pulled through the scrubber with the aid of a fan. Scrubber collection efficiency is tied to pressure drop, with a higher pressure drop meaning greater collection efficiency. The adjustable throat allows users to change the pressure drop, and therefore collection efficiency, of the scrubber.

Our adjustable throat venturi scrubbers also utilize a wetted throat design to help prevent the buildup of particulate matter on the throat. We recommend these for scrubbing particulate matter and odors from an exhaust air stream.

All models priced use A36 carbon steel for bodies and internals on the scrubbers.  We can also make bodies and internals from stainless steel for added prices.
