Description

The Vulcan® Drying Systems Bone Meal Drying System is custom-designed and manufactured to suit the customer's individual project needs. These drying systems consist of a correctly sized drum with a burner. The burner is mounted to a combustion chamber. Vulcan® Drying Systems Bone Meal Drying Systems are designed specifically to dry bone meal, blood meal and protein meal, making the material easy to transport, separate and handle.

Process

The material is fed into the rotary dryer, which is lined with lifter flights. A 16 MMBtu burner heats the bone meal, thoroughly drying the material. The dried material is then discharged from the dryer and stored.

Specifications

The Vulcan® Drying Systems Bone Meal Drying System consists of the following components:

• Rotary Dryer: 30? long x 8? diameter rotary drum with lifter flights; 3-phase electric motor with gear reducer drive and trunnions
• Burner: 16 MMBtu Maxon natural gas fired burner with control and safety systems
• Feed Assembly: consists of a 4-inch stainless steel pipe flange inlet with a reversed bell reducer to discharge through a 6-inch opening alongside the combustion chamber
• Combustion Chamber: 6? long x 4? diameter refractory lined tube with kiln seal assembly
